Emergency Relief for Older People Affected by Hurricane Melissa

Hurricane Melissa, one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Caribbean, has left a trail of destruction across Jamaica, Haiti, and El Salvador. Older people are especially at risk during crises like this, often living alone, facing health challenges, and left out of traditional relief efforts.

HelpAge is working with our global network partners — PRO-VIDA in El Salvador, Fondation Nouvelle Grand d'Ansé (FNGA) in Haiti, and CADENA in Jamaica — to deliver life-saving assistance to older people and their communities.
