Millions of older Ukrainians face the horrors of war every day. Many remain in unsafe areas, unable to flee, cut off from family and community. Those who do escape danger face hardship and uncertainty about their future.

When others have forgotten about older people, HelpAge is there where help is needed most. We have been supporting older people in Ukraine since November 2014, when conflict first broke out in the east of the country.

As the conflict continues, we are responding to the most urgent needs of older people, people with disabilities, and their families. This includes home-based care, cash, food, hygiene kits winterization items, and psychosocial support.
